Have Life Changes Affected Your Health Insurance Needs?
You may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) outside of Open Enrollment in the Health Insurance Marketplace, if you've experienced a life changing event, such as changing jobs, loss of health insurance, moving, birth/adoption, marriage/divorce or turning 26 (if you were on your parent's plan). Don't Wait! You only have 60 days after a major life change to apply.
Survivors of domestic violence may apply for health insurance at ANY TIME by calling the Healthcare.gov Call Center at 800-318-2596.
To see if you qualify, contact Insurance Navigator Carolyn Gottfried at Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems by calling 785-738-9202. Carolyn, a trained enrollment specialist with the Health Insurance Marketplace, can assist you with eligibility and coverage options. Find out if you qualify for financial assistance and sign up in a plan that meets your needs. This service is completely free of charge.
